(Los Angeles) – Just recently, I went to San Diego for a weekend getaway.  Since Los Angeles is not too far away, my friends and I decided to drive and spend Sunday night there. I was super thrilled and my head was spinning in excitement while thinking on where to eat.  Well, Los Angeles just happens to have one of most exciting food scenes in the country.

We arrived late in the afternoon at Andaz Hotel in West Hollywood where we stayed overnight. The freeway traffic is just horrendously bad; a supposedly 2-hr drive became 4 hours. Exhausted and hungry, we chose to stay in the hotel premises and have dinner in RH restaurant, just right off the hotel lobby.

RH, which stands for Riot House, is serving one of the best contemporary French food in LA according to Los Angeles Times. I undoubtedly agree. The dishes here are delicious – proof of Chef Sebastien Archambault’s extensive culinary experiences in Europe and his ingenious use of local California ingredients.

The place, with its stadium kitchen, is ultra modern – almost like museum gallery. And the presentation of each dishes are just equally artful. If the overall looks of the plates are already pleasing to the eyes, the taste is much more gratifying. Astoundingly scrumptious!  RH is living up to LA’s high culinary reputation.
