Bueno Caldo at Buena Vista

(Chicago) – To pay tribute to the new Miss Universe, Jimena Navarrete, from Mexico, who floored the Philippine’s Venus Raj in the recent pageant; I’d like to post something Mexican. 🙂  Speaking of Mexican food, what better topic to share than my favorite neighborhood Mexican joint, Buena Vista?! This is not best Mexican restaurant that I’ve ever been to.  But 2 reasons why I regularly frequent this place: it is a few minutes walk from where I live and they serve a really good “Caldo de Res”.  Yes, the closest version to the Filipino beef soup (“nilagang baka”).  Actually, I think Buena Vista’s is better because it is not greasy…
