Dimsum Galore at Jing Fong

(New York) – Dimsum used to be a Sunday ritual to me. Not anymore. With Sunday specialty brunching becoming very popular and appropriate (referring to Bloody Marys, Bellinis and Mimosas that cure hangover, just a personal belief and no scientific claim), dimsum has become a once-in-a-while craving quencher now.

Visiting Chinatown in New York, it’s a shame not to try some good authentic Cantonese small plates. Jing Fong is one of the good places to go for night-time dimsum. The place is palatial and very Chinese (all in red and gold); the dishes are delicious; but the service is bad, really bad. Perhaps, that makes it more authentic.
