Boracay is not just THE perfect place for beach lovers. It is also a haven for foodies – with so many restaurants offering great tasting dishes from all sorts of cuisines from around the world.  One of the most interesting is the Filipino-Mexican fusion food from Mayas at Jony’s restaurant.  Chef Jun Salme is making a successful (and delicious) attempt to combine both cuisines, which makes a lot of sense since both Philippine and Mexico have Spanish lineage. Oh well, the food is delish, creative and thoughtfully plated; although I think that the dishes are still strongly Filipino in flavor and appearance, which I prefer.

Everyone who goes to Bora should try this place.   Masarap! One more, other than the food, Jony’s is also well known for their fruit shakes.  A must have in the island.  🙂

And mention and they’ll give you 10% discount on food and fruit shakes.  Try na! Go go go!  🙂

Here are a few samples of their dishes.  I tasted them all.  Fabulous! 🙂
