(Chicago) – One of the joys of summer in Chicago is the prevalence of farmers markets in the city. A couple of weeks ago, I went to Green City Market in Lincoln Park and it was fabulous. My next stop: Andersonville Fresh Market. Unlike Green City in terms of size, it is just one short block lined up with tiny stalls of various straight-from-the-farm goodies. But one hour would not be sufficient staring at those lovely and vibrantly colored vegetables and tasting those freshly whipped cheese and tofu.
- Haven’t seen micro greens still attached to the soil before. Cutest little thing! Now, I want micro greens every time I eat salad.
- Next to learn: making pasta from scratch. Soonest!
- The shiniest freshest cherries
- Who would think these lovely mushrooms are actually fungus?
- The smell of grilled cheese and freshly baked bread just make me crazy. Soooo good!
