(Miami) – What is a trip to Miami without trying some ceviche? I brought my friends to Ola at the Sanctuary Hotel in South Beach to have a taste of the phenomenal “Fire and Ice” ceviche. It’s exceptionally good- a perfect balance of the extremes: hotness of jalapeno with the chill of granita and the sweetness of pear with the acidity of sour orange.

The Campechano is worth mentioning as well. The empanada is delicious and the addition of the sauces amplified the flavors of the dish further. And my favorite of all, the free pan de bono. Yes, it is free. This tiny Columbian bread made up of cornmeal, tapioca flour and cheese is a show stopper on the table. I had to ask the waiter a couple times to bring some more. Not to mention, I ate my friends’ bono left-over.  Love it!
