(New Orleans) – Living in Atlanta for many years exposed me to many different flavors of Southern food. Yes, there are more to it than fried chicken. Just when I thought that I knew Southern food deeply, visiting NOLA and exploring its restaurants made me realize how little I know about the complex and bold flavors of Southern cuisine.

In French Quarter alone, there are a lot of out-of-this-world food places serving delicious Cajun dishes with homecooked vibe. One of them is K-Paul’s. Chef Paul Prudhomme did a great job here by giving justice to Cajun cuisine. The food at K-Paul’s is amazingly good. The blackened drum is fresh, flaky and perfectly seasoned. One of the best fish dishes I ever had.

  • Homemade ham and deli sandwich

  • Jambalaya rice and blackened chicken

  • Love this pig!
