If you are my age or older, perhaps you will remember Maricel Soriano’s movie “Pepe en Pilar”?  Ito ung sumali si Pilar, played by Maricel, sa TV contest at nanolo siya  ng trip to San Francisco. I can’t remember the details of the story but what’s memorable with this movie is that it was mostly shot in San Francisco, CA. This is the first time that I learned about this beautiful place and thought that maybe someday I would get to visit as well.

So dumating na ang aking panahon at nakarating na rin ako sa San Francisco. Unlike Pilar na nag TNT sa pelikula, legitimate naman ang aking trip to San Francisco. 🙂

I love San Francisco primarily because of the food scene. It is home to so many fabulous and famous restaurants and food places.  Not to mention, there a lot of Filipino restaurants in the area such as Jollibee, Chowking, etc.  Then there is Napa/Sonoma Valley where countless vineyards can be found. But one thing San Francisco is most known for is its seafood. And the best place to get the freshest of the fresh – at Fisherman’s Wharf.

So buhay turista, lakad-lakad maski umuulan, picture-picture ng pali-paligid. The wharf is so alive, vibrantly colorful, delicious and beautiful, overall. I wish I could capture in the pictures the smell of fresh chowder and the aroma from pots full of steaming crabs and oysters.  Maglalaway kayo sa sarap – as in! 🙂

Kung mapadpad kayo sa Ameica, well, this place is worth visiting. 🙂
